About Me

PETALPUSHER LIVE
SALTED MUSIC is celebrating the release of Miguel Migs’ artist album ‘Those Things’ with the presentation of his new live band PETALPUSHER.
‘Those Things’ represents an open-minded musical spectrum that can have multi-meaning and definition combining electronic music elements with live instrumentation inspired by old soul, funk, reggae and hip-hop,” states San Francisco-based Migs about his follow-up to his 2002 debut album ‘Colorful You’ (Astralwerks/Naked Music).
This is the inspiration behind taking PETALPUSHER to audiences across the globe performing in a variety of venues, events and festivals in the summer of 2007 and beyond. This is Miguel Migs’ new full live project fusing his electronic inspirations with organic musical elements taking it all the way live! Consisting of eight members some of whom have performed with the likes of ‘Prince’ and ‘Tower of Power’ and are top notch musical black belts including Lisa Shaw on lead vocals.
‘Petalpusher’ is a unique and diverse blend of old school funky soul and current dance rhythms that result in an intoxicating live experience… With an arsenal of material to choose from, the band will focus on performing new and old songs from Miguel and Lisa’s extensive catalogue.
