Tin Griffin were formed about 12 months ago by Guitarist Alex McFadden.
After Countless attemps of making a band finally decided this was the final straw.
Him and his brother jammed with their dad, and decided that they had found a sound to be heard, so they rallyed the good older obliterater (Kris) and began the search for a bass player and singer. And thats when mouldy came back in, he had played with the lads in past projects but had split over a fall out, putting this behind them for the good of the band they brought him back in, and never looked back.
Then to follow came a long dragged out search for a singer, even going as far as blackpool, when they brought back in old vocalist Alastair tonge, he didnt last long as his lack of stage performance dragged the band down and his heart wasnt in it, he left on equal terms after one gig.
The boys thought fuck it and decided to carry on with Alex singing, and that's the story of how the TG sound was created.
"Tin Griffin strolled on to stage with their usual air of arrogance"
"The band are too dangerous"-KATIE STOREY (Thanks katie this is what we want we aren't here to fuck about, were here to fuck you up with our music)
"Funky bass lines with keyboard interludes and attitude"-ROCHDALE OBSEVER
"The front man amazed me with his guitar skills, I even stopped taking pics to watch"-NOELENE PHYTHIAN

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Alex McFadden: Lead Guitar/Vocals |
Influences: Black Sabbath, Faith No More, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Anthrax. |
Gear: Alex uses Gibson, fender and Ibanez guitars, Marshall JVM heads and boss pedals. |
Bio: Alex is the founding member of the band. Aggressive guitar style with beefy leads gives a raw edge and lively-ness to the mix. With a slap-dash vocal style and his stomping on stage charcter shows attitude.

Tom McFadden: Keyboards |
Influences:Faith no more, Rush, Iron maiden, Jethro tull and Classical music. |
Gear:Tom uses Casio and Roland keyboards/synths. |
Bio:Tom Alex's older brother finally decided to get involved in a full scale way when he took up keyboards to Jam along with his brother and dad.
Soon finding out the unique sound he can produce with Alex decided to be in the band.
The most underestimated member of the band, only playing keyboards for a short period of time, but no doubt is coming on in leaps and bounds.
He brings the sand paper to the the very raw edge and dampens it just enough to get that classic Tin Griffin sound.

Rob Lafferty: Bass |
Influences: Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my valentine, The fall of troy, Metallica, Reuben, Trivium, Disturbed and The human abstract. |
Gear: Rob uses Cort and Westfield bass guitars and Ashdown Engineering amplification. |
Bio: Rob joined the band in the new year of 2009, after problems with the line up within the band he had been reserved in the wings for along time. He is a ball of charisma, a true showman though new to playing on stage compared to the rest of the band he definitely pulls his weight, with heavy, steady bass lines and great enthusiasm.

Kris Crompton: Drums |
Influences: Rush, Porcupine tree, Pendulum and Durex |
Gears: Kris uses Mapex drums and hardwear. He uses UFip, Zildjian and Stagg cymbals. He uses Rick Firth sticks and DW pedals. |
Bio: Kris is a loud bastard, lots of noise on and off the drum kit, hits hard, plays hard and keeps a rock solid beat. Big man big sound from the kit.

**MUG SHOTS SOON**
Influences: Anything that is good, As usual all the old legends of rock with a few new additions to their own personal taste.
Sounds Like: Teen spirit.
Record Label: Unsigned
