Don't call them the next big thing, 'cause they won't like that. Don't say they are a new kind of ….. something, 'cause they have been on the road for too long. It's of no interest that they sound like your favourite band, 'cause this band has long found its own way. You can call it as you like as long as your description includes words like: “passionâ€, “selfdestructionâ€, “total ecstasy†and “chaosâ€, because that's just what makes this band.Far-off any trends Mindtraps' main attention lies in technically versed, explosive and strikingly fast song-writing paired with an electrifying and energy-laden live show affecting the audience like a steamroller. In 8 years of band history Mindtrap has played 150 shows all over Germany. Highlights of their shows include support gigs of bands like “See You Next Tuesday†and “Since By Man†as well as their tour through Germany in cities like Berlin, Cologne, Dresden and Aachen in march of last year. And this surely was only the beginning.
Mindtrap is looking back on 3 released EPs, the sold-out split-tape and uncountable sold merch. In April/May 2009 the eagerly awaited full length album that has already been recorded at the GHOSTCITY RECORDINGS will be in the stores.
I can only advice all of you to keep your eyes and ears open not to miss a show of this chaos-crew in your town. Everyone who enjoys this kind of music will leave the show with a smile on his/her face.
