In an Oceanic Divide

About Me

Formed in mid-2007 as a three-piece band, Steadfast are seeking a product combining what they love in European melodies with distinct American rhythms. Ranging in age from eighteen to their early twenties, the band proves to have the potential to reach levels their predecessors have yet to achieve. Steadfast have already made their mark with the release of a four-song demo entitled “The Final Element”. Writing a full-length LP complete with addictive, high-energy music and virtuoso guitar work, the trio has set their sights on raising the standard for American metal bands to come...

Sounds Like: STEADFAST-"The Final Element" E.P. No Label

From the first ten seconds of "The Final Element", I knew I was going to be in for something special. This four track blessing comes to us via STEADFAST, a three piece wrecking crew from Philly. The songs on this E.P. boast the technicality of early In Flames and Into Eternity with the raw furiosity of All That Remains circa "This Darkened Heart". The title track melts faces with cat- nuts -tight precision and musicianship. "The Insurgence" and " Fraction of Time" are solid rockers from start to finish, but I was particularly impressed with "Stronghold".On this final track, STEADFAST break into several different directions and styles( even techno, which if done right, is always a treat ) and pull it off effortlessly. Why these guys aren't signed is beyond me. Let me tell you this though, whatever label does pickup STEADFAST, they can expect great things from this band.
