From the Office of Music City Entertainment: The South has at last proven its
un-denying talent in the societal industry. Other avenues have been prosperous as well such as fashion and film. Georgia has rightfully claimed its name as housing one of the biggest southern Meccas that have put this region on the map. Following closely behind is Texas, Louisiana, Memphis, TN, and Florida. All these states hold their own in providing the world with what the best from this part of the country has to offer. With all the love and appreciation that we give each other in our quest to up hold what really is considered southern hospitality, one among just a few seems missing. Whats missing is Mississippi. Mississippi has been the foundation for culture as a whole when it comes to the South. From blues to good times, Mississippi has been sampled in a brief way to uplift cultures all over the US. Certain people have adopted everything from our mannerisms and slang to our moral judgments and hospitality. Little is known about these great contributions. The few facts that have been acknowledged have been written down in books and have simply been labeled as history. Its time for this to change, for something to take place in order to wake up those who might not have recognized Mississippis contributions or for many of its talents. The South did not get to where it is merely at today just by one state, nor did it happen over night. It took word of mouth, persistence, dedication, and unity. Georgia got to where its at because of the people there coming together regardless of the initial city; people from Decatur, Atlanta, Macon, and so on. Texas has some of the greats out of Port Arthur, Houston, and Dallas. Why cant Mississippi do the same thing? Good artists dont just come out of Jackson, MS. Good football players dont just come out of Moss Point, MS. Good education doesn't just come from the colleges in Hattiesburg, MS. Good businesses don't just come out of Biloxi and Gulfport, MS. To wake up everyone else who might be sleep on the good things ready to come out of Mississippi, we first have to wake up ourselves and come together to push one of the biggest movements the South has ever seen from one state, with our hands extended to the others. Mississippi needs and can push to be seen not only in the entertainment industries, but also in societal stature and up corporate ladders. Music City Entertainment would like to be the first to hold out the hand of fellowship and invite every business, music label, and venue Mississippi has to offer to join this big movement thats going to take this country by storm. While still pursuing personal goals and ventures within ones empire, it's important for us to go on ahead and become official as a unified State. Its time Mississippi to be heard world wide. MCE is devoted to achieving the highest in distributing service to a public through its different venues including business, music, and the arts. Our main purpose is to uplift all areas of the mentioned venues with personell and artists who have a devoted talent to the rise of the southern industry as a whole. Examples of projects that we are currently expediting include a company magazine and a company calendar for 2008 which in itself includes different volumes and versions. The concepts of the magazine include featured informative editorials and columns, knowledge of current and upcoming events related to the urban community, exposure for both rising businesses and artists, just to name a few. The calendars will feature new and aspiring models from all over the south in a respectable manner, but up to par with the current growing industries of artistry and fashion. As a company we know that in order to grow, one cannot stand alone. That is why we have extended our hand for all support and guidance that one might be able to instill. Fellowship and unity are key players in our handbook and we gladly appreciate it and any form of sponsorship from any angle of the country to help promote this movement.
