Spending time with my daughter above all. I love anything that takes me outside; Mtn. biking, hiking, camping (real camping...on a mountain, not in a camp ground...that's called "sleeping somewhere other than your bed"...not camping), boating, SNOWBOARDING!, wakeboarding, fishing, hunting, looking at the stars, lifting weights...I like to go for long drives and just listen to music....there's not much I don't like or mind doing...everything is an experience!
A FIREMAN'S PRAYER
When I am called to duty, God
Wherever flames may rage,
Give me strength to save some life
Whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout
And quickly and efficiently
To put the fire out.
I want fill my calling and
To give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbor and
Protect his property.
And if according to my fate
I am to lose my life,
Please bless with your protecting hand
My children and my wife.

I listen to whatever best relates to my mood at the time....any genre. However, most of my selection would be country. Country music is the best! There's a country song for everything you could possibly go through in life, good or bad. Some music you'll find in my stereo: Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Aerosmith, Johnny Cash, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra, Stabbing Westward, Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Creed, and any form of classical music.
I like movies with a unique plot and that bring a broad range of emotion. Nothing beats a good comedy though. I saw Napoleon Dynamite the other day and 'bout crapped myself. Top Gun is my alltime favorite movie.....the one I watched religously growing up. Braveheart, Signs.....actually, any Mel Gibson movie is generally pretty good. Movies based on true events are always good too because they stimulate more thought like........'wow, this really happened?' Others are Dukes of fricken Hazzard! 40 year old Virgin; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly; Shrek; Shrek 2; We Were Soldiers; Ladder 49; Office Space; Saving Private Ryan; Finding Nemo; Ice Age; Madagascar; Backdraft; Labrynth; Gladiator,; Band of Brothers; Dodgeball; Zoolander; Meet the parents; The Last Samuri; Anchorman (anything with Will Farell); and I'm also a big Lord of the Rings and Star Wars geek.
Lots of History Channel, lots of Discovery Channel, and lots of the Science channel. Other than that, I watch the news like four times a day, Rescue Me, My Name is Earl, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Hardball, Scarborough Country, Tucker (all on MSNBC), Heroes, 24, Friday Night Lights, Survivorman, Man vs. Wild, and of course the Seattle Seahwaks and the Seattle Mariners.
The Holy Bible of course.I recently read 110 People who are Screwing up America by Bernard Goldberg. I just started 1776 by David mcCullough. A favorite book of mine is titled Strong of Heart and was written by Thomas Von Essen, the Fire Comissioner for FDNY on September 11th, 2001. Very good book....everyone who was there that day has a very unique story to tell and every single one is equally as compelling and interesting.
