Biography
Chris Rea started his career as a rock/pop artist back in 70´s. At first he was a member in a band called Magdalene, before starting his quite succesful solo career. Solo career has brought him many hits including The Road To Hell, Josephine, Let´s Dance, Fool (If You Think It's Over), I Can Hear Your Heartbeat, On The Beach, Julia, Blue Cafe and so on. After serious health issues he changed his course and started his career as a blues artist around 2002. His most ambitious project Blue Guitars was released 2005. Blue Guitars included 11 cd´s with brand new songs written and recorded during one year. Each cd presented different blues style such as Chicago blues, country blues, Celtic And Irish Blues etc. In 2006 Chris made his farewell tour and ended performing under his own name. From now on he will be part of a band called The Memphis Fireflies, a three piece gospel blues band.
