Shades of Chaos

About Me

Shades of Chaos was formed back in 2004. The band- Chris on vocals and guitars, Ian on drums and Malcolm on bass- got together and immediately started working on original material. The style started off as being heavily influenced by Metallica and other trash bands, but has since evolved into a whole new genre with a more modern edge, having a heavy yet groovy punch. The band attempted to recrute a second guitarist, but after a number of attempts, decided to settle on a one guitar line up.
In September of 2005, the band took part in a Battle of the Bands competition, and finished first, and two months later, took part in another Battle of the Bands organised at Signals Bar and finished second, attracting many people to their style. A few months later, Malcolm decided that the band was no longer for him, and left on good terms. After a number of months searching for a bassist, the band recruted Clive. He fitted in perfectly with the style of music and Shades of Chaos has been working on new material ever since.
On the 11th of September, 2007 the band hit the stage at Hard Rock Cafe with BNI, however their official debut gig was held at Remedy Bar, Paceville, with Knockturn Alley on the 30th of November, 2007, and the next night with Forsaken at Poxxbar. The band's style has since been described as being a mix between Pantera, System of a Down, and a modern form of trash metal.

Shades of Chaos- Mines (Live at Remedy November 30th, 2007)
Shades of Chaos- Relentless Killing Machine (Live at Remedy March 2nd, 2008) (No bass on that day due to Clive being sick...)
