Peculiar Blue

The original Peculiar Blue were one of many bands that Paul formed in his late teens early twenties. Testoterone driven indie guitar music in the mid to late 80's. Great fun but the ego's landed, clashed and parted, the bands did the same. Paul began supporting bands in the Wakefield & Leeds area (less egos to cope with)doing acoustic support spots. Then he met Lyn. Couldn't think of a name so we adopted the nametag from Paul's first and in hindsight probably his personal favourite band (I guess your first love never dies). Lyn & Paul started playing around the acoustic/folk scene performing mainly original material. Since then Peculiar Blue have recorded 2 studio albums and a live album. They have built up a fan base and a follwing in and around the Wakefield & Leeds area. Live they occassionally appear with Mr Jeff Willacy (of Kwame D fame) and are due to enter the studio in October '07 to begin work on their 3rd studio offering. Peculiar Blue have been compared to R.E.M, The Beautiful South, Cat Stevens and Bowie amongst others. Over the years Peculiar Blue have been more than ably supported by real ale and fine chocolate.
