About Me
Karama Sadaka
hometown:
NOLA
quoteable:
"I want to drink down the tears of abused children and swallow their sorrow so that by the time they wake up tomorrow, yesterday will be so far away and so long ago, they'll be just like me and forget that in reality it's my pain that makes me flow..."
intelligence:
Karama Sadaka began writing and speaking at an early age, shortly after his father's murder and suffering sexual abuse at the hands of a relative. He was trained and ordained as a minister by the age of 13 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. His poetry has evolved over the years, as did he, and when he found himself homeless, he dug deep inside and used his natural skills & abilities to survive and still found a way to inspire & help others. A native New Orleanian, his focus and relentless passion, vision and ability to remain calm under duress helped him be a light for himself and others during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He is now rebuilding his life after the disaster by using his art to share a story - the likes of which has never been told....
