I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

GRIDS (Graphic Resource Information Design Society) is a Sacramento State University student run organization established in the 1980s. We are a community of students and faculty that care about design. Our purpose is to grow within graphic design community and to create a network of future professional graphic designers. Students participate in weekly meetings and organized field trips, lectures, and workshops. These activities are designed to increase understanding of and exposure to the graphic design field. GRIDS also provides a great networking system to help students successfully fulfill their course work assignments. We currently have one official graphic design faulty advisor, John Forrest, who helps direct the club. Presently we are trying to become an AIGA ( American Institute of Graphic Arts ) student group under the San Francisco chapter so that we may broaden our networking and become more established. AIGA is the most recognized association for professional designers who are interested in the discipline, practice and culture of the design industry. What is Graphic Design? It's a way of communicating visually using shapes, colors, space, and other design principles. A designer's job is to carefully solve problems using color, images, typography, and space. This is no easy task; it takes a great deal of patience and precision. Want to know more about Graphic Design?
