Piri has been the most consistent halfbacks in New Zealand rugby this season and has also shown his skills at first five. As the Captain of the Wellington Lions, Piri has lead the team through one of it's best seasons so far, also while being recalled to The All Blacks. Piri is also the first Captain, in 26 years, to brin g the Ranfurly shield back to Wellington.
