About Me

On March 9th,2007 Gabriel Edward Weems was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called Chordoma. He had been having headaches and after and MRI showed the tumor was admitted into Loma Linda Childrens Hospital. The rocks in his head (as he called them) were attached to his brain stem and spinal cord. A week later he had his first surgery which went through his mouth to remove only part of the tumor the size of half of a banana. He recovered well. A week from the first surgery he had a second surgery, the tumor ate through his spine and balloned on the other side it was the size of a small tangerine. They went through the side of his head. When the Doctors were removing the last part of the tumor it tore his artery and he had several stroke due to the blood lose and the next day Gabe had 2 more strokes. It was a long journey after that. He had 7 more surgeries. He was never really there after that day. He passed away on May 14th,2007. We love you Gabe and miss you more then you will ever know. You truley are Mommies  hero!!!
