Closing Festival Funeral Precession and Parade:
October 28th at 6:30PM @ Bedford Ave L Subway stop.
All good things must come to an end, and the 3nd Annual NY Clown Theatre Festival is no exception. Theatre Group Dzieci leads the Clown Funeral Procession through the streets of Williamsburg with morbid buffoonery, audience participation and choral singing of 13th Century Latin hymns. As clown mourners follow the casket to its final destination at The Brick Theater, the bereaved are likely to cry out in anguish at unsuspecting passersbys. At the funeral rite following, clown widows and widowers will remember with great passion the achievements of the festival in its 3 short weeks of life. Be sure to stay after the funeral rite for the traditional Closing Night Party. He would have wanted it so. www.dziecitheatre.org
