Basual People was founded in the area of Charleroi, when two DJ's invited their friends, guitarists and bassists, to join them on their “house†set. The concept of becoming a group rapidly came to light after a few improvisations and each member brought in their own musical background and style.Two DJ' S: the two DJ’s of the group met in 1996, both mixing quite different things at that time.
MML is directing Basual, distributing the beats and samples of his melodies.
Behind his decks since the 80’s, he followed the evolution of House music since his birth
and always gives the best of himself to make people dance.The second DJ, RGD, started in hip-hop music. The scratch and the effects are his keynotes,
the decks and samples being his instruments. He delivers his personal vision of music
and rules become the bounds to overstep.Three musicians: the live hart of Basual People; composed since the beginning by Franz and Greg.
Bassist and graduate sound engineer of the IAD since 1995, Franz played in various groups.
For him, two things prevail in music (in different styles) : Groove and Funk.Greg is in turn a self-educated guitarist. His musical preferences bring in the varied and melodic riffs of Basual. The last touch of this explosive mixture arrived in 2002 with Vincent at the percussions. Being an experienced musician, a graduated percussionist and a drummer, he has a track record of many plays in concerts (Montreux Jazz, Dour, Sonar Festival...) and recordings for several studios.An explosive cocktail: with a very powerful and modern groove house arising from the funky, jazz, and latino influences...
