Jus P

I grew up in the small city of Beaumont, TX. Born into a society full of poverty, violence, drugs, and crime. I chose not to become another product of my environment. I grew up poor in a single parent household with my mother and 8 siblings. Even though I had much of nothing most of my life, I was happy just to be breathing. I’m VERY proud to have grown up with nothing, because it’s taught me to not be a materialistic type of person. Growing up with nothing makes you appreciate everything. My entire life, my one true love and motivation has been music. It's always been my great escape from this corrupt world that we live in. Especially hip hop/ rap music. The older I get though, the more commercialized the music industry becomes. Almost everybody is scared to be themselves. Except me that is. That's what separates me from everyone else. I’m just me. I’m Jus P. I mix both my life experiences and the world around me. That's what creates my music. I grew up around gangsters, but I'm no gangster. I grew up around thugs, but I'm no thug. I'm just me. I’m a child of GOD. I'm my mother's son. I'm my own man. I REFUSE to ever be untrue to myself just to sell records. I'm going to succeed in this game by doing one thing that 99% of rappers are scared of, and that's being myself. So the rest of you rappers should be VERY AFRAID. I'm here and I'm something SERIOUS!!!
