About Me

Carlos was born on Chicago's south side but moved to Joliet Illinois at the age of 12. He started spinnin at the age of 15 and quickly found himself sharing the booth with some of the hottest Chicago dj's. At 19 He produced his first record titled "Latin Lover" sung by "De La Mor" wich quickly became a hot freestyle favorite in Chicago. He then followed that up with "Tables Turn" by Heidi Mathus wich made Billboard dance charts. He also produced and wrote "Only in my Dreams" by Laura Padilla wich was also freestyle. Both were on the Freestyle label "Wise Guy Records" out of Miami Florida. He then dipped his hands in some good old chicago house music when he produced "Lupita" by Anthony Lewis on Chicago Groove Records wich was co-owned by one of his idols and chicago legend "Julian Jumpin Perez" mixes by Julian Perez and CZR on the record made it a for shure hit. He then made a 360 and started producing and remixing in the latin market for major record labels. He wrote and produced "Ensename" on the "Corvo" album entitled "La Recompensa" for SONY RECORDS. He also remixed "El Rey Del Ritmo" on the "Pete Astudillo" album "El Rey Del Ritmo" on EMI LATIN. Working with Pete Astudillo was like a dream come true for Carlos since Pete has written or co-written most of SELENA's number one hits. He also remixed "La locura de perderte" by "Grupo Rival" also on the EMI LATIN label. Now co-owner of Mirage Studios Carlos has recorded and engineered many top latin artists from all over the nation with his latest success being a number 1 album in the nation 8 weeks straight and one reaching number 5 on Billboards Latin Music Charts. With new music projects on their way be on the look out for new and innovated music from Carlos in all genres of music.
