Ground Level Funk

About Me

Rapidly hitting the local scene, Ground Level Funk is one of the hippest jazz groups in Buffalo, NY. The band consists of Paul Schulte (guitar), John Neidrauer (bass), Kenny Kuriscak (saxaphone) and Corey Kertzie (drums, percussion). When the times right, and it usually is, the band also features Moose Erbacher on bass and Jeff Rapphold on trumpet.

Depending on the show, Ground Level Funk performs as a duo, trio or quartet (interchanging muscians). The group has a full band sound, with a classic, vintage, yet swinging and modern groove.

The band mainly performs originals and of course, they also feature all the great jazz standards. Ground Level Funk just finished recording and eventually will put out their first album. So be on the lookout because its coming soon!!!!

The group performs on a regular basis at area restaurants, clubs and festivals, etc. In addition to playing for local charity events, they have also performed at the 2007 and 2008 Ellicottville Jazz Festivals and have appeared on local television shows, AM Buffalo and All That Matters.

Check out below our December 2007 appearance on Buffalo's All That Matters Show.
