Style is defined as “A quality of self-confident willingness to exhibit skill and good taste.” Alex Ellis is illustrating the core of this attribute with a bold life-“style” and message that challenges this generation. As newly released author of Restoring the Male Image; A Look from the Inside Out , and highly sought after inspirational speaker, he is turning heads across the nation and his well-dressed stature isn’t the only reason! His debut publication has already garnered support and recognition from exclusive clientele to prominent individuals and organizations seeking his expertise in fashion, image consultation, and overall personal excellence. Within his book, Ellis aims to restore the pride in a man’s internal and external image. He begins by encouraging men to embrace the style of dress and sophistication of The Harlem Renaissance Era (1920s – mid 1930s) — a time period when men dressed with a sense of purpose and dignity. As one of this era’s leading men, Ellis desires to stretch the boundaries of everyday people into attaining the best lives they can.
In every role of leadership, this native of Hillside, NJ represents and articulates excellence. In 1989, Ellis completed his formal education and received a B.S. degree at North Carolina A&T State University. Presently, he is completing his Masters of Theological Studies in Urban Ministries at New Brunswick Theological Seminary/Rutgers University. A strong advocate for “maintaining the posture of a student,” Ellis believes that “We are always in a process of refinement, especially in the school of life.”
This man of conviction accepts his responsibility of social impartation as he deposits life into his community. He fervently volunteers as a mentor for Boys To Men; a program designed to dialog with and support young men through their process towards manhood. A voice for each generation, he also inspires men as chaplain for the Police and Fire Departments in the city of New Brunswick.
Esquire Magazine’s 2006 “Best Dressed Man” candidate, maintains the heart of a servant as the assistant to Bishop George C. Searight, and special events coordinator of his church, Abundant Life Family Worship Center in New Brunswick, NJ. He credits his spiritual life as the foundational source for wholesome living.
As an inspirational speaker, Ellis passionately delivers a fresh perspective that stimulates human potential; a lesson he shares from his personal testimony of overcoming a battle with self esteem. In addition to his personal experience, several years of research have distinguished him as an authority on image coaching from the inside-out in hopes to inspire wholesome sophistication. He travels the globe sharing this message of promise to anyone aspiring to defy mediocrity.
