Welcome Revolt began with Alex McKeating and Jamie Cameron, who had just split from a previous band due to its lack of....well....playing nothing but Enter Sandman. So the two got together and wrote heaps of songs. The lyrics that we wrote were an inital chance to get back at the dickheads that had pissed both of us off. Jamie sung and played rhythm guitar, while Alex attempted to play lead guitar. Gavin Holloway was next to join the revolt, after splitting from his other band, Varied Generation. Gav brings something different to the bass, as he is a talented guitarist and converts his skills well. Then finally, Chris Simmons joined the band as the drummer. We started getting serious about this band after Chris bought his awesome new pearl drum kit. We then practised like fuck, until we decided to record our first EP at the Acorn Audio in Findhorn. The EP turned out awesome, although their were a few mistakes!...It is now a year on and we have now played several gigs. We feel we have improved musically over this time and we are now playing and writing some awesome stuff. With the prospect of uni/college coming up and the fact of us re-locating to the Dundee area means we might be doing more gigs soon.Welcome Revolt is serious about making it big and we hope you can help make it happen!
