Preacher, motivational speaker, singer, songwriter, producer... the ministry of John A. Black Jr. began as a young accompanist for his father, the late Pastor John A. Black Sr. He epitomizes the words preacher, prophet and evangelist in venues all across the country, including lectures at North Carolina A&T State University and San Diego State University. As a musician, he has worked professionally with dynamic gospel personalities such as Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Rev. James Cleveland, Keith Pringle, DJ Rogers, Henry Jackson and Cassetta George. He penned the highly recognized song, "That's When You Bless Me" recorded by the LA Mass Choir. As a former member of The Gap Band, he experienced national acclaim as a musician, songwriter, arranger and producer. His collaborations with personalities of the music community include D.J. Rogers, Bobby Caldwell, members of Earth, Wind and Fire, Rufus, Chicago and the list goes on. He also wrote the song, "I Need You" for The Pointer Sisters and has film credits in the movie, "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" for his participation in the title track and the song, "You're So Cute." His talents are endless and his copious research of the bible coupled with acute oratorical skill qualifies him as a model presenter. He is an inspiration to those in pursuit of great ambition.
