About Me

The APA is a non-profit trade association of Arizona production professionals. Our mission is to promote, encourage and advance the growth of the film, theatre and television industries within the State of Arizona and to improve the status and skills of our members.
As the largest and most influential statewide group in our industry, our goal is to improve job opportunities, skills and working conditions for our members. We do this in a variety of ways.
Our information-packed web site contains up-to-date listings of our online Directory; current news items; a locations page showing the diversity of Arizona’s landscapes, cities, homes and more; an events page; a list of industry resources; links to other industry-related web sites and much more. Advertising opportunities are also available on the site.
FILM & VIDEO PRODUCTION DIRECTORY
Published annually, our printed Film & Video Production Directory is the bible of the industry. With over 700 verified listings of production professionals statewide, the Directory is distributed to more than 3,300 advertising agencies, production companies, location scouts and other industry decision makers in Arizona and nationwide. Display advertising is also available in the printed Directory.
“ON THE ARIZONA SET”
Our printed newsletter keeps APA members informed about industry events and information statewide. Members are encouraged to submit articles and photos. In addition, members receive regular news updates electronically via our broadcast e-mail service. Subscriptions are available to non-members as well.
INDUSTRY NETWORKING EVENTS
The APA hosts membership/networking events throughout the year including membership meetings, parties and FREE monthly Happy Hours. We also periodically offer forums to discuss industry issues and other special events.
LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS
Our Legal/Political Action Committee represents our members’ interests year-round through its involvement with film offices and other groups throughout the state.
MEMBER DISCOUNTS
Members in APA receive discounts year-round on various goods and services such as car rentals and health insurance. Seasonal discounts are also offered throughout the year as they become available, such as reduced rates for film festivals and workshops. Our volunteer organization can use your help in a number of ways, including organizing seminars and workshops, negotiating new member benefits, and supporting political and legal efforts that make Arizona a better place for production. If you’re a production professional working in Arizona, join the APA today and help make Arizona a better place for film, theatre and television. For information on the different membership levels available, click here.
