This site was set up by friends of Danny Ray, the greatest Emcee of all time. Mr. Ray began working with the James Brown show as far back as the early 60's when he was employed at the world famous Apollo Theater. The time came when James Brown hired Ray for his road show. Danny Ray went on to work with Soul Brother Number 1 for more than 40 years travelling the world countless times and giving his trademark shouts of Are you ready for Star Time? Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the World's Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown! James Brown! James Brown! There he is.....James Brown!! Danny Ray has appeared in both of the Blues Brothers movies, Rocky IV, and The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan just to mention of few of his film credits. His voice can be heard on countless James Brown live recordings, as well as songs such as Damn Right, I'm Somebody and many more. Much more to come....
