MATT TROJA NEWS:
Matt is currently working with producer CRAIG KING (Kanye West, Ludacris, Ray Charles) mixing tracks for an upcoming release by urban dance/hip hop artist B ANGIE B, whose self-titled first album on Capitol was produced by MC Hammer and included the hits "I Don't Want To Lose Your Love" and "Sweet Thing". This much anticipated release will be her first in over ten years, and has already generated an enormous buzz on the Atlanta club scene.
Watch for an all acoustic version of the CHUCK WICKS single "Stealing Cinderella" to be released soon on a Sony/BMG compilation CD. The track was mixed by Matt Troja, who also recorded the string section and Chuck's vocals. Meanwhile Chuck's third single, "Man of the House", is currently climbing the country charts.
Matt has been working with Grammy-winning country artist BILLY DEAN, recording and mixing material for a new studio album. Check out BILLYDEAN.COM for future updates.
Matt recently recorded "Yule Swing!", an album of all-original Christmas tunes by jazz singer ANNA WILSON. The album features duets with trumpeter RICK BRAUN and country artist CHUCK WICKS.
Matt recently completed engineering duties on the debut album for CHUCK WICKS with producers DANN HUFF and MONTY POWELL. Chuck's first single, "STEALING CINDERELLA," peaked at #5 on the national Billboard charts.
Matt recently worked with SUZY BOGGUSS on her album SWEET DANGER. The album is available in stores now, as well as at iTunes and at SUZYBOGGUSS.COM.
Matt recently recorded and mixed ANNA WILSON performing her song “A HOUSE, A HOME” for HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, for the organization’s NATIONAL TELEVISION CAMPAIGN. Look for the commercial on major networks across America now. Check out more from Anna at ANNAWILSON.COM.
LAURA VECCHIONE's album DEEPER WATERS (produced, engineered, and mixed by MATT TROJA) recently peaked at Number 13 on the NATIONAL FOLK CHARTS. The album spent 19 weeks on the TOP 50 FOLK ALBUMS chart at ROOTS MUSIC REPORT, which tracks album radio play from over 1,000 reporting radio stations throughout the US. Matt also co-wrote and played guitar on the album, while three of the songs were mixed by Grammy-winning engineer JIM SCOTT.
Matt played for a CROWD OF 50,000 PEOPLE at last summer’s four-day long JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS festival in Morristown, Ohio. Matt joined CHRISTIAN SIMMONS on guitar for the hour-long set on Saturday, alongside other top country performers including TOBY KEITH, THE WRECKERS, and MIRANDA LAMBERT.
Matt has recently completed a new mix and overdub room in Nashville, called Studio Exile. The new studio is based around a collection of digital and analog gear, with cutting edge computer technology and sonically accurate acoustical treatments.
