Kings Highway

Kings Highway was formed in March of 2005 in Hampton, New Hampshire when guitarist Brian Peak (guitar/vocals) was invited to jam with the rest of the band. Previously, Dave (guitar), Salt (drums), Jonny (precussion), and Steve (bass) had been getting together, sometimes with other local musicians, to lay the groundwork for the band's instrumentally based sound. With Brian in place as a second guitarist, the band was able to create more elaborate melodies and solos to flow over the dynamic rhythm section. Over the next couple years, the members of Kings Highway collaborated to write most of their original tunes while gradually introducing subtle vocals into some of their arrangements. In late summer 2008, Justin (keyboards) showed up to pull everything together with keys. The band continues to experiment with new sounds as their influences and inspirations grow, but the foundation of Kings Highway has always been its members and their love for the music they play.
