Making stuff, cooking, going to the Apple store, museums, beaching it, eating sushi, listen to music, washing cars, playing in a garden, sewing, knitting, looking at paint chips, spending an hour in Home Depot, exploring, collecting toys, eating pretzel bites, taking naps, people watching, drinking boba, going to Chinatown, camping, looking at pictures, movie and drinks at the Arclight, exploring, shopping and eating at awesome restaurants. I like to do a lot but I'm happy just sitting around too.
The Paradox of Our Age
We have bigger houses and smaller families.
More conveniences, but less time;
We have degrees, but less sense;
More knowledge, but less judgement;
More experts, but more problems;
More medicine, but less healthiness;
We've been all the way to the moon and back,
But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.
We build more computers to hold more information,
To produce more copies than ever,
But have less communication.
We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are times of fast foods and slow digestion;
Tall men and short character;
Steep profits and shallow relationships.
It is a time when there is much in the window and nothing in the storeroom.
-H.H. Dalai Lama
That's one loaded topic. Just about everything, almost.
My husband is in the vfx business so, we've got a massive collection and we belong to NetFlix. Let just say I've got lots of favorites and the list keeps growing...
Lost, 24, King of Queens, Mind of Mencia, Sleeper Cell, Myth Busters, ER, Oprah (sometimes), Good Eats, Iron Chef (I still like the Japanese version best)
Art books, cook books, black and white photography books, childrens books, memoirs. Haven't found a good read lately. Til then that's what you get.
My Grandfather, and that's all I've got to say about that.
