I've been a freelance catalogue consultant for the past seven years. Before that I worked as the manager of a Mastering studio in London and also as a freelance music journalist writing for magazines such as RECORD COLLECTOR and various specialist publications in the USA, UK and Europe. My passion about great Classic, Progressive & Psychedelic Rock led me by a fortuitous route to begin work as a freelance consultant on back catalogue projects with Universal Music UK, beginning with the remastering of the CARAVAN catalogue. From their it grew, until I was also invited by EMI to look into their HARVEST, VIRGIN & CHARISMA catalogues. This work also led to approaches by SONY BMG UK and SANCTUARY MUSIC in the UK. Alongside this I have the great pleasure of being label manager for ESOTERIC RECORDINGS, a newly established label which is part of the CHERRY RED GROUP. Esoteric has many exciting releases planned which you can check out on www.esotericrecordings.com or on our Myspace page. I also (for my sins) work with John Lees' BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST and other artists. I have worked on over a hundred reissues, met many great musicians and have made many precious friends along the way.
