Al and Medhi played together since 1998 and build a riddim too.After many travels in jamaica ( 2004/2005/2006/2007/2008) in the district of Rockfort Kingston 2 and many work and meeting with jamaican Artists( Linval Thompson/Ras Shiloh/Sugar Minott/Dj Sunshine/Norris Man/Assassin/Johnny Clarke/Eloquent....) they decided to created THE HANDCART band in 2004. In 2005 they backed PUTUS ROOTS and JAH FUZZY in Europe. (two old jamaican artist.) The same year they played with a new coming artist from jamaica who called ELOQUENT.After a few show in France, they went in studio to record 5 song of ELOQUENT on our own riddim. In 2006 they played with RAS SHILOH and LINVAL THOMPSON in France for a big festival in south of France called "festival de la paix". During a trip in, jamaica in junuary 2007 a big producer call" Dj Sunshine" from IRIE FM was interested by one of our riddim: DST Riddim. She release on her jamaican label "Yellow Moon records" a strong serie with many jamaican artists like : MORGAN HERITAGE/JUNIOR KELLY&MACKA DIAMOND/I WAYNE/FANTAN MOJAH/ELOQUENT.... In April 2007 the riddim are distributed all over the world.This riddim are play in radio like IRIE FM /BBC .... July 2007 we have been played in swizerland with JOHNNY CLARKE and ASSASSIN. (Walliser reggae festival) MAI 2008 Morgan Heritage release her new album "Mission in progress" on american label VP records. On her new album you can find the tune call "Headline" track 13 Dst riddim we have been composed and played this riddim. November 2008 FANTAN MOJAH release her new album "Stronger" on greensleeves records.You can find the track call "Stay positve" DST riddim track 6. April 2009 LINVAL THOMPSON release her new album "Ghetto Living" on MACKASOUND . 8 Riddim of The Handcart band on it. in this time The handcart work on different project (Album /series/single) and continue to go regular in jamaica. They Created her own label : ELOQUENT MUSIC

His new solo album is called Ghetto Living and was recorded with the French/Jamaican Handcart Band (who cut the mighty DST rhythm for DJ Sunshine).........Then there’s the uncharacteristically current sounding Bad Boys, featuring a star turn from Warrior King whose “Jah is going to spank you and give you a beating” matches the scolding rhythm through and through. But, such fresh collaborations aside, Ghetto Living is the same old Linval, and there is nothing wrong with that. For he dwells at the very heart of roots reggae, where all notions of outsiders’ expectations are abandoned for a drum, a bass, and a hypnotic voice.

Encore des français dérriere ce duo original réunissant Linval Thompson & Warrior King ............un titre trés convaicant grâce à un riddim sans failles(le morning footing riddim qui ne manques pas de souffle donc) et à la forme évidente des deux artistes.Une association aussi surprenante que prenante. Notons que le backing band The Handcart band sont déjà responsable du fameux DST riddim (sorti sur le label jamaicain yellow moon records de dj sunshine Irire FM)ainsi que du lit musical du titre headline des morgan Heritage.

Ce nouveau Linval Thompson est l'une des meilleures surprise de ce début d'année.Les riddims car c'est la clef dont certains concocté par les françaisdu Handcart band et d'autres par Fattis burell , frappent par leur simplicités est leur éfficacités.Les basses sont lourdes et enfin dynamiques à l'ancienne . Les arrangements à l'image de ghetto living souligent à la perfection des paroles simple mais pleine de bon sens......................... Et son duo avec Warrior king est à l'image de ce ghetto living inattendue d'autant plus réussi.
