About Me

Black Liquor are a five piece Metal/Thrash band from Darlington. Formed back in 2002, have undergone numerous line up changes. After a 3 month Break from gigs we have returned with a New line up and we are currently recording our second EP, we hope to finish this by summer 06! Between recording and drinking were practising constantly and working on a new set. Watch out, Black Liquor will be Back playing gigs again very soon!!

Over The Years...

2002

The first Black Liquor Line up In november 2002 Black Liquor beganOriginal members were; Dan Hope - Vocals + guitar, Sam Turbitt - Lead Guitar, Dave Jackson - Bass + Backing Vocals, Toby Reeves - Percussion and Matty Wright - Drums. First Gig in Heighington Village hall (Traslers Pary) Only Played three Gigs with original lineup.

2003/Early05

After our Third gig in willow road Toby Reeves left the band, which left the line up as Dan - Vocals + Guitars, Sam - Lead Guitar, Dave - Bass + Backing Vocals and Matty - Drums. This line up to date is the longest lasting, playing over 20 gigs together including UK Unsigned and Winning Teesdale BOTB in 2005.

Mid2005/Early06

First Lineup change in 2 years. Dan hope leaves the Band due to Disagreement over the Direction of the band. New Member Ste Curphey joins the band and takes over lead Guitar, Sam Turbitt Takes over the role of Lead Vocals. Line up for 2005 Sam Turbitt - Vocals + Guitar, Ste Curphey - Lead Guitar Dave Jackson - Bass + Vocals and Matty - Drums.

Early06

Sam Turbitt Leaves the band through problems over the bands Direction in the foreseable future. New members join, Owen Atkinson on lead Vocals and Mik Copeland on guitar. Line up Owen - Lead Vocals, Mik - Guitar, Ste - Guitar, Dave - Bass + Vocals and Matty - Drums

Mid06

Lead Guitarist Ste Curphey Leaves the band to go to university in sheffield New member Dan Joins to take over Guitar duties. This line up only lasted a few months and dan later left of his own occord through work demands and other commitments. Line up Owen - Vocals, Mik - Lead Guitar, Dave - Bass + Vocals and Matty - Drums

The Current Black Liquor line up as it stands is Owen Atkinson - Vocals guitar, Mik Copeland Lead/Rhythm guitar Dave Jackson - Bass + Vocals and Matty Wright - Drums The only two original members form Black Liquor Remaining - Dave and Matty
