About Me
Statik the Godfather is an underground rapper and speaker of some of the most insane, mentally ill music in existance. After the death of the wicked shit years ago, the Godfather grew tired of all the generic, weak attempts at speakin' the morbid gospel, so Statik stepped up to the plate and decided to revive the wicked genre like the dead. He's been writing since the age of 11 and started recording at the age of 18 (is now 20), after the intese disturbing music he was raised with started fading.
Statik's first release was Only if I'm Stoned which, while being very underground and only heard by a select local and juggalo audience, received wide praise as a revival of the wicked shit. The Godfather was ready to bring a storm to the underground with some of the most intrguing yet disgusting rhymes. Only if I'm Stoned is out of print so if you have it and get rid of it, chances are you won't find it again. However, it is now available for free download on this page. It's not the same as owning an original disc and CD cover, but it's the music that matters in the eyes of the Godfather.
The cover was hand drawn by Statik the Godfather, and like all his music, the entire EP was written and recorded by him. Unlevel Productions got him on his feet with the tracks Introduction, Statik, Only if I'm Stoned, I'm Lovin' It, and Make it Stop. Though the music catered to a very disturbing and distinct taste, many juggalos loved the details of gore, sex, and mental insanity.
Exiled Child LP was the next album to drop. Although very hyped up, Statik the Godfather got a new mic and felt the sound and production quality of the LP was lacking, so rather than post-poning the album even further, Statik allowed the LP to be downloaded for free, which can also be found on this page, under Only if I'm Stoned EP. Though flawed in some senses, it too received high praise for lyrical content and song inspiration. Followed by Exiled Child LP was Mental Problemz LP, which was a combination of the disturbing, wicked, and very gore-infested tracks also recorded with the inferior mic. Not a CD for the kids or for their parents, but definitely had it's hi-lights, and it too is available for free download. So for the people with true mental problemz, this LP will be a cult classic.
Empty Pockets LP and Statik LP was also just announced to drop. First to come will be his most worked on CD since Exiled Child LP, featuring all new tracks, some of the biggest hits he's recorded, and this time will NOT be for free download. Those who wish to purchase it can get it when more information as it comes. The release date has been pushed back a month cuz the economy blows and money's hard to come by (fitting CD eh?) and will now be releasing June 7th 2009. It will feature at least 20 tracks and include some of the best tracks Statik's released, such as Homicidal Asshole, Get My Green, Dying Inside, Diary of a Mad Man, and much, much more.
After selling 100 copies of Empty Pockets, as a show of family love, Statik will release a free internet exclusive album that's been ready to drop and sucked back in more than syphillis--Omerta EP. It will feature 9 mafiosi status tracks including the hit songs Goomba and I Didn't Kill Him! After selling 250 copies, however, he's going to release ANOTHER internet exclusive album that's also been rumored to release more than a few times--The Malevolence. So save up your cash and buy Empty Pockets when it drops, cuz you get two extra albums for free if enough are sold.
Also, coming to a myspace page near you on 4/20--I Love Mary Jane EP--potentially for free download. All about the weed. It'll have tracks you might've heard before and ones that have never been released to the public (even ones recorded with my first mic). So check that out too.
Finally, after all is said and done, Statik will be jumping into the music industry with an iron fist that was doused in gas and lit on fire with his very first, completely professionally pressed album, and it will be self titled 'Statik'. The Godfather simply picked a handful of beats and decided to make an album with no concepts or ideas on content or what could happen--good or bad. The finished product dended up being a very twisted, emotional album with a darkness in it that's not easily matched, and impossible to match unless you experience the same deranged problems as Statik himself. Though there's no official release date yet, it will be released after Empty Pockets (along with Omerta and The Malevolence) are dropped. So think Winter 2009.
...Recording History...
The Godfather purchased and set up a basic recording studio in his own room and is finally able to record. After a 7 month dry period with no new releases, Statik finally got shit right and bought out Unlevel Production's basic recording instruments and set them up in his house. It's been rough, but now music can be recorded every day in the Jugga'La Cosa Nostra Productions studio. Since then, he's also attained a new mic, and is working with *names removed* to put out the next big, legit, and above all, professional studio in Casper.
He also signed with Side Show Records in 2008 prior to getting the studio set up, then switched over to Street Saint Records mid 2008 and gained a clothing line repping his name among other benefits. Now, after an intense, life threatening amount of drama from the time of recording Only if I'm Stoned EP to the song Comin' Up, Statik is back. Since the dust settled and most beef was squashed, Statik also had his first live performance ever opening up for MC Viruz and set that stage into flames. He did so good in fact, Viruz and Big Murda invited him to sign with Death Lab Productions, an up n coming label that's gonna be the next big thing. It was an offer even this Godfather couldn't refuse.
Exiled Child LP was complete and slated to release on August 6th because it's dedicated to Theodore Ray Westreicher, his best friend, dad, and brotha and that's the day he passed. But due to lack of money and the need for more fans that would buy the disc, the album was post-poned. However, like it was mentioned earlier, Statik decided to release it for free download and will re-record certain tracks with professional quality in the future, for an Exiled Child: Rebirth concept. No release dates or time frames on this one tho.
In addition to his solo career, Statik is a part of four rap bands. Trained Killaz, Rhyme Bustaz, AK48, and Fuckd Up Shit. Fuckd Up Shit was the very first of the rap groups to emerge. Composed of Statik, Date Rape, Lil Biskit, Lil Venom, McGuirk, and Crazy P, It came to be when 6 fuckd up kids that are completely different (juggalos, crips, skaters, but all alcoholic drug lovas who feen for pussy and blood) sat in the Jugga'La Cosa Nostra Productions studio with a beat and decided to write some of the most downright wrong lyrics to it. They all had 40s and decided to make a track called FUCK HOES about all the hoes in 307 and how they just some hoes. Well it blew up after that cuz everybody knew the Fuckd Up Shit crew and they kept putting out hits like We Do Drugs and Fuckd Up Shit until some homies got locked up, some got ISP, and basically shit hit the fan. To this day, there hasn't been one day when the whole Fuckd Up Shit crew was together and at least one wasn't locked up. And though they're not the best group of rappers, they're a bunch of fuckd up kids on the mic havin' fun keepin it real. However, they're still kickin and puttin out more shit so keep your eyes open.
Rhyme Bustaz snowballed from Fuckd Up Shit and is basically it's child in that sense. With Lil Biskit and Statik on point, shit gets heated. Biskit brings out the G in Statik and they straight up slaughter that shit. After realizing they could both make it in music, they came together to exactly what the name implies: BUST RHYMEZ MAFUCKA.
Trained Killaz has been planned since the age of 15 with his home boy June Bug. Together, the Don and the Godfather cut up the beat like a freshly born neck. These two are on some of the most disturbing levels mentally and by listening to the lyrics it becomes obvious. Now they're finally together again tearin up the cuts like Statik's big dick.
AK48 is a side group with Statik and Lil Venom (his hype man and little brother) that is simply about being who you are, doing what you want--as long as it's what you want and not what you think you want--and just about growing up as two equally demented brothers coming together on the mic to prove a point: it don't matter who you are or what people think of you--if you put your mind to it, you can be anything.
The Godfather has at least 5 CDs worth of music made cuz mad tracks are getting recorded left and right. Many, many more are coming and for all those who remain faithful and still love the Godfather despite, or maybe in spite of his mental problems, Statik will continue to produce music. As of now, Statik is a song writer, a rapper, and a producer. He does it all by himself, cuz when you got OCD it's hard to please yourself. Keep checkin back often cuz it aint gonna be no 7 months for a new song. Almost every fuckin' week a new track or two is uploaded.. I mean damn..
Due to lack of proper funds, Statik the Godfather is offering something he calls "Ghetto Bumps" for all completed albums. If the album is not pressed yet, for example Empty Pockets or Statik, you can message Statik the Godfather asking about the "Ghetto Bumps." It will give you the opportunity to hear all the music he's hiding for the future. All you need is $15 and good penmenship. Send the cash or money order to the address he will provide you with and after receiving the money, he'll send an autographed burned CD containing the CD of your choice. Currently, you can purchase The Malevolence, Omerta, Empty Pockets, Statik and I Love Mary Jane. If you're interested, message the Godfather.
