About Me

..

Bitter Injustice are a punk-rock band from Preston, England. They have been together for just over a year but only in their present and most well known form for just over 4 months (written November 08). Their catchy melodies that twist between their instruments and the vocal lines to the interesting harmonies. From the nitro-propelled drum beats to the intricate rhythms that make the songs come alive, Bitter Injustice are only getting better as time goes on.A band who takes their music seriously but themselves much less the guys are always up for a laugh, which is evident in their live acts and songs such as "Cindy Lapore". Although there is a lot of humour and some of the songs drip with sarcasm, songs such as "Spin Doctor" and "Adult's Playing Kid's Games" deal with a more sinister topic as they delve into the dirty world of politics. While being primarily a punk-rock band, Bitter Injustice do not limit themselves and take influences from many different musical genres such as hip-hop (Hold Your Head Up), metal (Spin Doctor) and even have rumba and africa rhythms present in their songs. Ska and even funk influences can be found in their newer material. Although a concotion of styles are blended into Bitter Injustice's style, their newest EP does not just sound like a compilation CD, as all these styles are always grounded to their punk-rock roots.HOW IT ALL BEGAN (fairly brief): (you can also check out Episode 2 in the video section for this)Ad" McCabe and Michael Peacock (P) wanted to start a serious band after a short endevour with another project. They began to demo songs and look for other musicians to fill in the gaps.A couple of months later Michael Hoyle and Joe Gornall had approached them and the 4-piece was thought to form this way. However, Joe pulled out at the last moment and the three-piece was born. It was thought that Ad" and P would take on the guitars (Ad" on lead, P on rhythm) and the vocals while Mike would be on drums. They would continue to look for a bass player.Joe then reconsidered and joined the band on rhythm guitar, so P made the switch to bass. This lasted for a short while before P left the band to persue other interests (trying to be a fish but unfortunately gils, fins and scales did not appear). The band continued as a three-piece with Joe on bass but did not progress particularly well, even though more songs were being written. With the future of the band looking grim and Joe leaving the band, Ad" and Mike talked to P about coming back into the band. Luckily, he was willing to give it a go and the band is what it is today. The band has progressed and developed in the last 4 months ten-fold what it had achieved in the previous months and are hopeful for the future...the "Take Me Back EP" Sampler: (check it out and please comment)
