I am a thirty-something high school special education teacher who's been teaching for 10 years. I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading, taking pictures, going to the theatre, and of course, going to the movies. I also support a variety of charities and participate in numerous 5Ks to raise money for several different organizations. I run the Race for the Cure(in Cincinnati and Columbus) and the PetPromise run every year!! I truly enjoy participating in these events and contributing to such worthy causes.When I'm not running, I drive a bright green VW BUG and have an affinity for animals, especially frogs! I have a little rat terrier named Zoe, who is now 13!! I have two cats that were rescued just last summer. One is a Siamese cat I affectionately call Maizy and the other is a very energetic white and tiger-striped whipper snapper I call Lizzie (after a character in one of my favorite books, Pride and Prejudice). I also have a miniature rex rabbit who is grey & white and is called Nelson, as in Willie Nelson. It's literally the wild kingdom at my house. I also enjoy running and plan to run the Columbus Half Marathon this October, with aspirations to run another full marathon in the near future. My Life motto is: You only get one ride on the roller coaster, so make it a good one and enjoy it!!
