CURRENT NEWS:
ABOUT ME:
I live for music. There's nothing like being in the studio working on a track. I honestly can't remember a time when I wasn't a musician (music became my passion at a VERY young age). In fact, learning to read music came before learning to read a book. My tastes in music are varied. R&B, Gospel, Country, Pop, Rock and Smooth Jazz are my preferred genres, but I also like being introduced to new sounds. Lyrics are very important to me. Words are powerful. When spoken or sung just the right way, they have the ability to move mountains. After all these years, it still amazes me how much you can convey in the small amount of words that fit into a single song. Being Director of Music Business at Five Towns College on Long Island is another one of my passions. I developed the program 24 years ago, when I was known as Professor Faber (or "Professor Sue," as they affectionately called me back then). I love my students -- they're "my kids." I teach them how not to get burned in the music industry. They teach me how not to get old!
Many of my former and present students are my top friends here on MySpace and are also some of my favorite people. Geoff (former student) recently signed an exclusive songwriting agreement with my company, ChromeOrange Music, and we're working on developing projects with a couple of other former and current students. We've also signed long time friend and country singer/songwriter Rob Koenig.
ChromeOrange Music has new signings planned for 2009, including some young, up-and-coming talent that will also be a driving force behind ChromeOrange's special initiative, The Anthem For Change Project, which we hope will eventually be an official non-profit organization dedicated to accomplishing change in communities across America. Powering that change initiative is "Love Conquers Everything" (first in my MySpace player) -- we're calling it an Anthem For Change in support of President Obama and his commitments to public service and change. Please visit Anthem For Change at http://www.myspace.com/anthemforchange2008.
Thanks for listening and for making change happen in 2009 and beyond. President Obama designated January 19th as a National Day of Service, but we should all do our best to serve our communities and our country -- not just on January 19, but all year round. A better America will help change the WORLD.
