From an early age I had a love for music and dance.
The first time I saw a turntable was at the age of 8 when my dad bought an Akai music centre. My early influences came from my sisters that back in the 80's were heavily into synth pop and artists like Human League, Grace Jones, David Bowie and New order. They were taking me with them to nightclubs from the age of 13. The fresh electronic sound and the extended disco mixes (with those great breaks) just sounded amazing and DJs quickly became my heroes. I spent most of the time hanging around in DJ booths really .. .
At the age of 16 I was introduced by a friend to black music, funk and rare grooves. It was then that I started collecting vast amounts of records on the look out for sampled grooves. It became an addiction.
Reading tons of English magazines and the boom of the Rave movement has brought me a lot closer to the electronic sound even though there wasn't much going on in my hometown. Passionate about music and nowhere to go out has led me to start out my first underground night called Delirium with a bunch of like minded friends, hosted in underground venues and warehouses. For the years to follow I spinned records all around Greece, from nightclubs to beach bars.
Still in my birthplace, Crete, me and a friend, were hooking up regularly experimenting with a number of sequencers and samplers, and it was then that I produced my first tracks, lost somewhere in the way ....
In 2001, I moved to London in need of a change. I took up a course in Sound Engineering and I was introduced to Wiggle, Swag records and the rest of the underground house scene.
I worked in a number of projects in Junction 13 studios, Swag studios and my own Dulwich Woods studios. Made a number of tracks along with Daniel Poli and Richie Littler under the guise of Norwood Junkies. Me, Daniel Poli and Andrea Mazzini formed DAP and released a number of tracks on labels such as Rescue recordings, which gained critical acclaim and was played from DJ's worldwide including Dave Mothersole, Laurent Garnier, Terry Francis and Ritchie Hawtin. My engineering work appeared on a number of labels including Essential Beat recordings and Sensei.
Either DJing or producing, my sound is house blended with funk and deep synths but it doesn’t fall into any category really.
In 2006 my love for film and the arts, led me into joining the University once again to study Sound for Film. Along with that, I am working freelance as a sound designer for short films, radio and multimedia and i am pursuing my dream to do soundtracks for horror films.
In 2009 is scheduled the launch of my own imprint, focusing on fresh, undefined sounds of a broad dance music spectrum along with Indie and Experimental touches.
You can find me locked up in studios for days or playing in house parties around London and abroad.
