I worked in the music business for almost 5 years, running a small promotions company. My problem in the biz was simple, I was in it for the music and the musicians. I truly wanted to help new musicians find a way into the business, find their place in the scene, and find a way to reach and expand their fan base. Not being in a business to make money rarely makes the business run well long term, but it was an amazing learning experience and I would not trade that time in my life for anything in the world. I love helping the underdog make it in an increasingly corporate big business run world, which probably comes from my hippie parents. Now at 25 I am a mom and a college student. I recently got back into the music business by helping some local bands with press kits and bookings, contacting labels, and even trading gigs with out of state bands. I hadn't realized how much I missed it until a few months ago when some amazing talent knocked on my door, literally. Now I am trying to find a balance between kids, school, and music.
There is so much more to me, it's hard to write it all here. I am a very open person, so if there is something you want to know just ask.
