Delov Jávor was born in Budapest in 1980. His mother is Hungarian, his father is Bulgarian. Though he has got a Bulgarian name, the way how he uses it, Hungarian (family name first, then given name), expressing the duality. From l986 on he was pupil at the Kodály Zoltán Music School, and from 1994 he studied at the Városmajor Secondary Grammar School specialised in music. He started to play the piano and his classical percussion studies already during his elementary school years. He received his first diploma at the Teacher’s Training College of the Eötvös Lóránd University in 2002. In the same year he has been accepted at the Franz Liszt University of Music, where he got his second diploma in 2007.
In 2004 he won a one year scholarship at the University of Salford in Manchester. Financing of his studies here were supported by the Friend of the Franz Liszt Music Academy.
From 1997 on he performed with several well and less well known groups in Hungary as well as abroad, in several countries of Europe, Asia and Australia.
At the end of 2006 he has been awarded with the second prize of the youth Jazz competition “AranytÃz†(Golden Ten) as member of the Barabás Lorinc Eklektric group.
