Dorny started learning music at the age of 10 playing trumpet in many school jazz and concert bands, after taking up the guitar at the age of 15 he soon fell in love with it. After completing the HSC playing both trumpet and guitar Dorny completed a diploma of contemporary music at the Contemporary Music Center of Australia majoring in guitar performance.Dorny has been playing in bands for many years in rock, jazz, soul, funk, R’n’B and pop styles. Dorny has also done session work in Sydney working on several albums and ep’s. As well as playing, Dorny has been tutoring the guitar since 2002 privately and in many schools.
