I MISS THE CHRIS, KIM, SCOTT, ROBERT, ROM ROM AND THE SONY. *cry*

People ask me all the time "Why are you happy all the time, Melody?" What's your secret?" So finally, I've decided to answer. Happiness is my lifestyle not my mood. I could easily go the complications route and create problems for myself, but I try to avoid that. I've noticed that Life is pretty trivial and you add the drama , but that's not my recipe for life. I take into account what's already there and add love for spice. It's amazing if you let life be amazing. and it's yours, right? So why not? I've realized so many things within my short life and I have so many people to thank for giving me such great experiences thus far, and as much as they're the hearts of my soul, it'd take my whole life to thank them all. That's a good goal, yeah? It's the small things people have a tendency to remember most. It's nice to make them last. In this fast moving society today, everyone's about the material things- iPods, cellphones, television, style, trademarks and brands- and I guess that's where people lose out the most. We don't recognize the things that should matter : smiles, hugs, words of value, sunsets, sunrises, laughter, amusement, green grass, clouds, emotion and growth. Spiritual stuff. I'd like to think everyone knows what these are but we don't experience them enough. Everyone's all for the rush hour and we seem to forget we're just humans in limited bodies living a limited given amount of time. We've become too dependent on what we want, we forget what we already have . I'm young and naïve still but I want to stop hurting and being hurt. I know the concept may seem a little far'fetched, but let's pretend the feat is possible. I've found friendship in the least likely places, and they're the closest friends I'll ever have. It helps to not judge someone before you know them because if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that there's no such thing as "never" and in return, the one thing you can count on is "change." People change. Give them a chance . Everyone wants the same thing, just in different ways- the chance to live. To speak, and be listened to. To care and to care about. To shelter and be sheltered. All of these are recipies to life, so don't take an ingredient away from someone else. You have no right to, just as much as they have no right to yours. There are no "bad" people in this world, just misunderstood ones. I'm not trying to impress anybody but if given the opportunity to influence, I'll try my best. I've learned something very special, and I have to thank them for reminding me unintentionally: I have to stop lying to myself. I am my own greatest obstacle, and I intend on keeping it that way.
