I was born on haloween's day 1980... and play guitar since the age of 9. Starting to learn how to play the classical guitar, I fell in love with blues- and rockmusic so I bought my first electric guitar when I turned 16 and played in local bands. After highschool I became a licensed music and history teacher. In the year 2001, I was asked to join a very fine rockcoverband, Feedback. After more than 100 gigs all around Belgium, I left the band at the end of september 2007 (I deeply believe that sometimes, you have to make a fresh start with something new, that keeps things interesting). Check out their website www.feedbackonline.be.
Around the year 2002 I met David Piedfort in school and Suzy Geraerts in the world famous Crossroadscafé (Antwerp) where I joined the jamsessions and learned a lot about (blues)music, playing live and how to avoid hangovers:-). Together we formed the Southside Suzy Band, a band with lots of blues, country & singer-songwriter-influences. We played some gigs until march 2008
My newest band is called Scotch & Soda. We're a hot new bluesband, but we like to take everything a little step further. Blues, boogie woogie, singer-songwriter-stuff, rock, reggae, soul, jazz,... you name it, we blend it into this steamy mix that's called,... hmm, well,... SCOTCH & SODA.
