Sounds of the I - First album out now!!!

"Sounds of the I" is an instrumental power trio created in the end of 2006 by Fred (ex-Vacarme) and Olivier (ex-Vacarme, ex-Selenim). Quickly, Johan (Zan'ji, ex-Dismal, Recueil Morbide) join the band as the bass player. With the aim to play a more expressive music and to get over traditional stuff, the trio takes its influences in many different sounds and SOTI becomes some kind of powerful and dark metal, including progressive, rock, groovy and jazzy elements.The first demo (3 tracks) is available via free download in august of 2007, and after a great opening act for Treponem Pal in La Poudrière - Belfort (F), Sounds of the I focus on the arrangement of the compositions to record its first eponymous album (9 tracks-40mn) in the end of august of 2008. Poussé par l'envie de créer une musique plus expressive et libérée de barrières stylistiques, le trio puise dans des influences diverses et l'entité SotI prend la forme d'un metal puissant et sombre aux allures progressives, teinté de groove, de rock et d'ambiances aux sonorités jazz.Une première démo 3 titres est disponible en téléchargement gratuit en Juillet 2007 et après un passage remarqué en Avril 2008 à la Poudrière de Belfort, en ouverture de Treponem Pal, Sounds of the I se concentre sur l'arrangement des compositions afin d'enregistrer son premier album éponyme (9 titres-40min) fin Août 2008.
