DaViglio began back in the autumn of 2007 when two best friends decided to put their jamming and song-writing skills to good use and form an acoustic duo. Micki and Debs both shared a passion for God and music and there didn’t seem to be a better way of combining the two. They hope their songs will not only challenge and inspire their listeners, but will also give a glimpse of their faith that lies behind a lot of their lyrics.
DaViglio have come quite a long way in the past two years. They started out videoing themselves covering popular songs and uploading them onto YouTube. They now take requests from their worldwide fan base which continues to grow. Encouraged by their feedback online, they then recorded a demo for their MySpace, with favourites including
Calm The Storm and
Amazing.
In between song writing and gigging, Micki and Debs also entered a few competitions including, Hope Academy 2008 - of which they were finalists, Streetwaves 2008 - where they were the runners up, The Gathering’s Got Talent –
which they won, and Live and Unsigned 2009 which recently took them to the regional final in Manchester.
In April 2009 DaViglio launched their first CD “
Side By Sideâ€. Micki and Debs hope that people will really enjoy the fresh feel of the songs with the added production of drums, bass and second guitar.
For now DaViglio will continue to gig regularly and promote their CD and are looking forward to a bright future!
