I am a native New Yorker born and raised in the Bronx, New York. I have been performing ever since elementary school. I spent my high school years as a drama major at the High School for Performing Arts. While obtaining formal training, I gained hands on experience at the Mind Builders Creative Arts Center. As a member of the “The Positive Youth Troupeâ€, I toured the U.S. playing the lead role in the musical, “No Laughing Matterâ€. While performing with P.Y.T. I had the privilege of being under the musical direction of the Vocal Guru himself, Ankh Ra from Making the Band 4.After High School I gained extensive experience as a studio vocalist and R & B artist. While making my way in the Big Apple I got an opportunity to perform my original songs when I opened up for such R&B greats as Gerald Alston, and Milira at local New York nightclubs. During my career, I have graced the stage with such artists as: Tony Terry, El Debarge and even, the Gospel great Edwin Hawkins. As a lover of musical theater and gospel music, in 2004 I toured with the longest running gospel play, “Mama I Want To Singâ€, and sing I did! Today I am the President of Dubose Entertainment. Promoting myself as a singer for hire, inspirational speaker and an advocate for Alopecia and autoimmune disease awareness. Taken from my personal testimony, I have produced and directed my first independent film called, "Project Liberation- My Alopecia Experience." For more information about the film, visit my website: www.MyAlopeciaExperience.com To accompany the film, I have written and produced a mini soundtrack with songs that come straight from my heart to empower others that may be struggling with self esteem issues. I pray that it will bless everyone who listens. The soundtrack is just a sneak preview of what you can expect on my album due to be released in 2009. Stay tuned, THE JOURNEY has just begun!
