I am here for Friends

About Me

I am both simple and complex. I am a good listener, though it can be difficult sometimes to find someone to listen to me. My interests are many and varied. The best way to know about me is to get to know me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm engaged, so I'm definitely not looking for other people to date or for anything of a discrete nature, so please don't ask. For now, more friends are always good.

Music:

My music is eclectic to say the least. I like what I like and it ranges the whole spectrum. In general, though, I like pop and techno the best. You can never really predict what I'll enjoy, but you'll know it the moment I hear it.

Movies:

I like action, horror, and psychological thrillers. Sometimes I enjoy a good comedy, but my own sense of humor is bit more dark and very facetious, so some things will make me laugh and other things won't even create the hint of a grin across my face.

Television:

Crime: The Black Donnellys, CSI, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
Sci-Fi: Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Torchwood
True Crime: Body of Evidence, Forensic Files, Psychic Detectives

Books:

I'm finally beginning to turn back to reading. Right now my fascination is with Jim Butcher's Dresden Files books. Try the first one, Storm Front. You won't be disappointed if you happen to be a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton (like I am). I also like the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan. Might I also suggest Caroline Myss's Anatomy of the Spirit, Sacred Contracts, and Invisible Acts of Power (in that order). You'll like them too.

Heroes:

My father and my brother.

Life Right Now

I've been okay. Things are fairly steady right now. One thing about getting older is that the days go by much quicker and before I know it, more time has passed than I'm comfortable with. Overall, thi...

Through My Eyes

I make no secret of the fact I don’t always see the world in quite the same way as most people do. For the most part I tend to think more symbolically than literally. I did a couple of these typ...

Better

Okay. At first glance it seems the only real damage to the radiator may simply be the plastic topper. It's the only place I can see any damage at all. Basically there's these tiny cracks in it where t...
