ABOUT THE HEATHER FRAHN TRIO
After returning from an international solo tour to Belgium 2006, Adelaide singer/songwriter Heather Frahn took yet another exciting turn in her musical journey of 15 years and formed the HEATHER FRAHN TRIO, presenting their powerhouse funky roots sound.
From receiving a standing ovation at the 2007 Australian Blues Music Festival for their debut performances, the trio has fast become a stand out on the roots music scene. They've busily toured Australia's regional and major cities through SA, VIC, NSW, ACT and TAS since forming in early 2007.
The trio's sound features Heather's skillful, earthy vocals, custom 8 string hybrid bass-guitar, lap slide guitar and bouzouki. Forming the trio, Heather is joined by two outstanding musicians Ryan Maguire who plays a blistering harmonica, and Daniel Seymour grooving on drums and percussion. Together they funk up rootsy grooves delivering an energetic, thoughtful and interactive live show!
Their latest cd "synergy" produced by David Briggs (Little River Band) was released in September, 2007 and has been played on Nova FM and Triple J Radio. The Trio's reputation of being an excellent live act has taken them to some of the top festival stages including The Australian Blues Music Festival, the Adelaide International Guitar Festival, the Peace & Remembrance Festival, the Summer Cherry Festival and more. The Trio thrives on stage offering up some damn fine roots music that audiences have loved where ever they've played.
