Hey everybody -
its been a while since we gave you the low down on our current situation… so here you go. We are currently re-recording all the old as well as some new tracks and looking at them through more critical eyes than ever. We are also looking at them through new eyes with the arrival of our newest member, Shamus. However we have not lost sight of the big picture and still intend on bringing some heavy stuff your way. To do this we are incorporating a variety of both melody and brutality that not only is pleasing to the ear but also offers a new aspect to the music. Doing this may take some time but we are confident the final product will not disappoint anyone that listens to it with an open ear and an open mind. That being said, we fully intend to have the new tracks up as soon as humanly possible. We have not forgot about our fans though. Due to extenuating circumstances multiple members of the band have to tend to a variety of situations not pertaining to the band. Yet these are only temporary and we will be back in full force to melt more faces and surprise more unsuspecting audiences come August. ABOUT THE BAND
Under Black Wings has only been a five piece since late October 07. Yes, they are young. But, for a band that is so new they have already made some serious noise. The band started out as a two piece consisting of David (vocals) and Carlos (drums) in mid April of '07 and it rapidly became known to the founding members that this band was going somewhere. Once they had found Cristian, who is an amazing guitarist (listen to the solos on Fear Yourself) we knew something was going to happen. Unfortunately, Carlos, whose prior engagements had caught up with him, had to move to Philadelphia for school. He flew down to Florida very often for shows and practice and moved back to Florida mid March to be back with the band. The band then found Steve, a Rapper who didnt even play bass. When Steve heard the music he loved it so much that he picked up the bass just for UBW. So after a couple short durations with other guitarists, Under Black Wings found one that suited the band perfectly. His name is Dennis. He listens to some heavy shit and we feel like hes going to be a great asset to the band. And as of June 09, Under Black Wings became complete with the inception of Shamus, who is not only an incredible bassist but an incredible musician as well. With these six very unique and skilled artists, there is no limit to the potential musical output of this band.
