About Me

A little about me

I started playing piano at age 6, cello at age 8. At age 10 I discovered Rock and Roll and the electric guitar . By the time I was in Junior High I had my first band.
I started gigging in local clubs at 16, did my first road trip right after graduation in 1972.When I came back, I spent a year or so learning about engineering at Echo Sound Studio in Levittown and Dawn Studios in Farmingdale. I continued to play around Long Island and NY City until 1990 when I moved to Raleigh North Carolina.
Since then I've been concentrating more on writing, teaching, and building cabinets for Pro Audio applications. I've recently finished writing the first in a series of guitar methods called "Understanding Music Through the Guitar"
I am teaching out of my studio in Willow Spring and currently accepting students
I have recently decided that it's time to get out and start playing again. I've been playing up in Richmond occasionally with some good friends The Janet Martin Band. In the meantime, I've been putting together material and working primarily with Dave Masson and Shedrick Williams on Backstreet Boogie ( The Backstreet Boogie Band if you prefer). Any songs labeled cover on the Myspace player are tunes that I plan on playing out with. These recordings feature me on all the parts. I expect them to pale next to the real thing when I get together with these guys and we do them live.
You can find me at the open mic at Bullfeathers in Fuquay Varina on Tuesdays starting at 8:30. I've been known to frequent some of the other jams up in Raleigh (try to keep you posted when I know where I'm going ahead of time). I'm working on booking for the coming year (will keep you posted on that as well). In the meantime, I'm teaching, doing tracks for singer/songwriters and building cabinets.
Thanks for visiting My space

About the CD

The CD is a project  that sometimes seems like it will never end. I don't know if I'll ever be totally happy with it. That's probably because I've grown and changed quite a bit since I started it...
