Hank Berumen

Hank Berumen is a working musician who makes his home on the Gulf Coast. He is known for his singing/guitar playing, as well as his songwriting, which has earned him respect from critics and the general public alike. Among other awards, Hank was voted "Best Band" for 2005 by the readers poll of The Coast Night Life Observer, a gulf coast entertainment newspaper. He also received critical acclaim and much public enthusiasm for his most recent CD, "Havana". Within his style, evidence of his influences range from Albert King, BB King, Eric Clapton, Trey Anastasio to David Gilmour . Yet these only serve as ingredients to his musical pot of gumbo, allowing his musicality to shine through. Hank has performed at many, many private functions, as well as most of the local clubs on the Gulf Coast as well as the majority of the casinos that were here, such as The Grand Casino, Palace Casino and Resort, Imperial Palace Beau Rivage and Boomtown Casino, to name a few. As things gradually get back to normal on the gulf coast, the music scene is resurrecting itself, bigger and better than ever. It's a sure bet Hank will be remain in the middle of things. Hank has grown up on the water, both chronologically as well as musically and has been plugged into the music scene down this way for a long time, making friends along the way with his singing/guitar playing, as well as his easygoing manner and stage presence, and has played throughout the state and many regions of the country as well, and has been invited to play some pretty interesting places, such as Eastern Europe (before the wall came tumbling down!).
