Where are all the good men dead, in the heart or in the head?

About Me

I enjoy trying new things and being around good people. The background image on this page, is my namesake, the Maile Lei. It is a Hawaiian vine, yes i'm part Hawaiian, and not just because i have family from Hawaii, but i have Hawaiian blood mixed up in these veins...Big Difference.
What else? Reinvention seems to be the theme of most of my friends and I'm finally catching up. So at this point, I'm not sure who I am but hopefully over this next year my life journey or partying, snowboarding, learning and trying to practice my faith will help to define me.

I'd like to meet:

Ok, if I don't know you, you will not be added as my friend. If you want to get to know me, send me a message. That goes for bands too, unless I know someone in your band, I won't add you.
Work hard, play hard is my theme of life. Cheers!

Music:

Almost anything. But right now Gnarls Barkley rules my speakers. His album is amazing! Not a big fan of country. My 20Gig IPod is full and I still have more music I want to add. Also, enjoying the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and some local music of friends.

Movies:

Where to begin! I'm a big of a dork and saw all the Lord of the rings within two days of opening day. Yes, I stood in line and took time off work. I basically like most movies that are enhanced in the theatre. The most recent movies I've seen at a theater were The Illusionist at the Seattle International Film Festival and World Traide Center. I enjoyed both of them and did think I'd like either!
Movies at the top of my list, other than the lord of the rings and star wars:

Le Fabuleux destin d'Amlie Poulain (US Title: Amelie) The Shawshank Redemption Leon (US Title: The Professional) Usual Suspects A life Less Ordinary Never Been Kissed Gross Point Blank Closer Kill Bill I and II Batman Begins Garden State
There are others that I can't remember the title, like the great marial arts ones, but this paints a picture.

Television:

Arrested Development is the best show on network TV, but FOX cancelled it...'COM ON!
Curb Your Enthusiasm is awsome. Larry David makes me what to be an old bald Jewish man! If you know my sense of humor you'll know why I love Curb.
I also like:Crossing Jordan Monk The Closer Law and Order: SVU Medium Las Vegas Veronica Mars (I know, I know) Charmed That's 70's show The Simpsons South Park Sex in the CityI don't have cable, so I know there are other great TV shows, but I just can't watch them.

Books:

I would recommend the following:

Almost anything by C.S. Lewis Invisible Man Things a Computer Scientist Rarely Talks About A Hundred Years of Solitude Down by the River Piedra I Wept For the religious anything by Fr.Thomas Keating Zorba the Greek Life of Pi The Story of O (erotica)

Heroes:

Myself.
