About Me

I am a mother of 5 beautiful children, and one on the way. Three of them are my biolgical children and two of them are my husbands children. Being a mother is the most wonderful thing in the world. I don't understand how some people just don't get that. I do believe strongly in the verse "spare the rod spoil the child" but rarely spank my children. I have very well behaved kids. They are polite and usually remember to use their manners and they are considerate of others.We have recently been awarded custody of Mike's children. They have been with us for 3 yrs. Finally everything is finalized and they will be staying with us. It was a battle that took well over 3 yrs to win, but worth every penny spent!!I believe fathers should have equal rights when a child is born just like the mother. I don't believe she should have any grounds for keeping the father away and no judge should allow it. I know far more moms who are unstable than I do dad's yet she has the kids and doesn't allow access to the children. In many of these cases dad doesn't have the money to go to court and she gets away with it. Yet if he did the same thing in return he would get into trouble for kidnapping. 100% equal rights from birth unless there are grounds proving there shouldn't be...but moms need to be looked at also not just fathers.I can speak out for this cause I am a mommy who has nothing to worry about. My kids come first always, all 5 of them.I also believe that when both parents are good parents and not together that custody should be split 50/50 in cases where allowable. My ex has my kids 3 days a wk and I have them 4. I think this is the best situation when both parents are good parents and put the needs of their children first. My children know they can have whichever parent may be needed if they are available. It is not so far and few between visits that they feel they are visiting the other parent. My kids have 2 houses 2 families and 2 sets of friends and they see them all regularly. They are not just spending the wkend with their dad.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet others who want to stand up and speak out for children. Be the voice where they can not be. I also have many other causes I fully support but this one is soo close to my heart!I believe fathers should have equal rights when a child is born just like the mother.
