KINGPIN! Zine [RIP]

About Me

I started KINGPIN! zine in late August 2007. It is a response to the lack of activity in today's local scene. Everyday it seems that another NJ venue shuts down, leaving us kids with nothing. I've noticed that many have forgotten that punk rock isn't about sitting around, wasting away, but rather getting off your ass and making a difference, whether it's locally or globally. The scene needs to unite, rather than be randomly dispersed in different areas and I'm hoping that KINGPIN! will connect people. I want to use this zine as a tool, informing today's youth about the local scene as well as politics and issues our world is faced with. Rather than hating each other, we need to come together into a "Kingpin! Community." It sounds cliche, I know, but we are out to promote unity, peace, and love anywhere and everywhere.
